Lineman Gifts and Novelties Inspired by the Journeyman Lineman
I’d like to welcome you to A Lineman’s Journey … I’m George Tripplett, President. I worked for almost 40 years (1969-2008) as an electrical lineman with Commonwealth Edison, now an Exelon Company in northern Illinois. Looking back, 40 years seems like a long time, but the interesting aspects and challenges of this craft made the years pass at a rapid pace−the key is knowledge.
Now I am using that knowledge to create unique gifts and accessories inspired by the journeyman lineman. I believe the profession of journeymen needs a site like this to honor and celebrate the pride in a job that not everyone can do.
The lineman gifts on this site are custom made and totally unique. They are inspired by the rewards and fulfillment I experienced as a journeyman, as well as my desire to use the artistic skills I gained while studying art for a few years at a local college.
